Faculty
Armstrong University recognizes faculty as the core of its academic enterprise and the primary drivers of student learning, scholarly engagement, and institutional quality. The University is committed to recruiting, developing, and retaining qualified faculty who demonstrate both academic excellence and professional expertise in their respective disciplines.
Faculty members at Armstrong University are selected through a structured hiring process that emphasizes appropriate academic credentials, teaching experience, subject matter expertise, and, where applicable, professional practice in relevant industries. All faculty are expected to hold qualifications consistent with institutional standards and applicable regulatory or accreditation requirements. Credential verification is conducted prior to appointment, ensuring integrity and alignment with program-level expectations.
The faculty body is composed of full-time and part-time instructors who contribute to the delivery of both on-campus and online programs. Faculty responsibilities include course design and instruction, student assessment, academic advising (as assigned), and ongoing engagement with curriculum development and improvement initiatives. Faculty are also expected to maintain regular and substantive interaction with students, particularly in online learning environments, to support academic success and retention.
Armstrong University promotes a culture of continuous professional development. Faculty are encouraged and supported to participate in workshops, training sessions, conferences, and scholarly activities that enhance teaching effectiveness and disciplinary expertise. The institution also provides resources for instructional improvement, including guidance in learning technologies, assessment strategies, and student engagement practices.
In support of academic quality assurance, faculty performance is evaluated on a regular basis through a combination of student feedback, peer review, administrative observation, and outcome-based assessment. These evaluations are used constructively to support professional growth and ensure alignment with institutional goals and academic standards.
Faculty at Armstrong University also play a vital role in shared governance and academic decision-making. Through participation in committees, curriculum committees, and institutional planning initiatives, faculty contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of academic programs and policies.
Through its commitment to faculty excellence, Armstrong University ensures a high-quality educational experience that fosters intellectual growth, professional readiness, and lifelong learning for its students.
